The Epona Equestrian Program is for youth aged 10-17 years of age. The benefits of horseback riding are intertwined with those of the Stay in School Program.
Responsibility is a major part of the Equestrian program as the youth learn to be responsible for their equipment, horse etc.
Horseback riding tends to foster positive attitudes and increases one’s self-esteem as the youth learn that they are able to accomplish goals.
The Equestrian program operates three equestrian sessions every year, one in the fall, one in the winter and one in the spring.
The Program is run on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program also provides 2 weeks of camp.
Transportation is available to and from the ranch (Free Spirit Riding School) in St. Lazare.
Skilled level Equestrian lessons are provided along with equipment and riding gear.
