Every year, we present a musical ride This will take place on Sunday, April 25th •10am Pony Rides •11-1pm BBQ •1pm- Musical Ride All donations will go towards Our Summer Camp and Transportation Fund. This is the time of year that we invite our sponsors out to meet the youth and see the program in action. You've supported us in the past can we count on you again? I will be contacting you shortly regarding your annual contribution towards sponsoring a youth for the Epona Summer Camp. Your total contribution goes towards the program.

For the 3rd session which begins on April 10, 2010 ; Selection of participants has now been completed. This session will include a course in first aid and C.P.R. for our youth by a certified instructor.

We are now taking applications for summer camp which is the first two weeks of August

Summer camp is a great opportunity for youth to try out the program for a week to see if they are ready to make a commitment in the fall for a 10 week session. Included in the day is all you would do in a normal session during the year with the addition of swimming at the end of the day.

We are very proud of the accomplishments of our students. Please check out our Achievements Page as to some of their awards. The Phyllis Baille Award is a $500.00 gift awarded to an Epona youth who is entering CEGEP for their first year. Last years recipient was Atiba Jabari Howell. This year the award goes to Jordan Bustillio.

Last year the committee was put together.  It was seen as a necessity and natural progression to develop a group of people who would see to the day to day operation of Epona. 

The Committee Members are:

Jackie Poirier.  Jackie is the equestrian director and is responsible for putting together the amazing musical rides.  This year it will take place in the spring….stay tuned for the date.

Gabe Map.  Gabe manages the transportation of the children and animates at the ranch.  He is also our main liaison with the parents.

Melanie Raymond.  Mel is exceptional at taking our minutes and keeping us on track during our meetings.  She has also translated our forms and is in the process of translating our website and this newsletter.

Sandu Strunga.  Sandu manages our clubhouse and just about everything else that I either forget or avoid.

Darlene Job:  Darlene helps with the animation and supervises the younger children.

Peter Desmier.  Peter is the “money man”.  He devotes every waking moment (and I’m sure some of his sleeping ones) to fundraising and finding sponsors for Epona..

For those of you who received the e-mail requesting your support of $50.00 towards our transportation fund, it is not too late to send it in.

Many of our supporters have found donating through Canadahelps.org to be quick, reliable and secure.

Please take a moment to make that donation and support a program you know to be invested in our youth of today. On behalf of our youth, families and volunteers we thank you for making this program possible.
